Specialist/Senior Specialist, People Operations
The People Operations Specialist / Senior Specialist supports the delivery of People Operations services for assigned internal client groups within the Business Services Resources Vertical. This role serves as a People Partner to smaller internal client groups and works closely with the Senior Manager, People Operations to execute, coordinate, and facilitate core people processes, compliance activities, and projects. The position collaborates regularly with other People Operations verticals and People Technology, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, accuracy, and internal client support in a professional services environment. Essential Functions People Partnership Support
- Serve as a People Operations point of contact for assigned internal client groups, providing day-to-day support on employee lifecycle matters.
- Support managers and employees with performance-related questions, policy interpretation, and general people operations inquiries.
- Assist with employee relations matters in partnership with the Senior Manager, People Operations.
Performance, Compensation & Bonus Processes
- Support the execution of recurring people processes, including:
- Performance management cycles
- Compensation planning and reviews
- Bonus processes
- Coordinate communications, timelines, data validation, and supporting materials for these processes.
Policy & Compliance Support
- Coordinate department-wide compliance activities, including maintenance of required compliance postings on the Firm intranet.
- Support the administration and data coordination related to the Firm's Affirmative Action Plan.
- Assist with policy updates, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
Immigration & International Support
- Coordinate immigration-related data, documentation, and tracking in partnership with internal stakeholders and external providers.
- Support international employee data audits and ongoing maintenance of international records in Dayforce.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for international offices, including process improvements and documentation.
Internal Communications & Materials
- Support internal People Operations communications, including drafting, formatting, and coordinating announcements and updates.
- Maintain and update People Operations intranet pages and internal hubs on a recurring basis.
- Develop and update PowerPoint presentations, templates, and Excel-based tracking tools used across People Operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other People Operations verticals (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Training & Learning, Attorney Resources, Total Rewards) on Firmwide and project-based initiatives.
- Work closely with People Technology to support system functionality, reporting needs, and continuous improvement of People tools and processes.
Process Improvement & Project Work
- Work closely with People Technology to support People systems, data integrity, reporting, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with other People Operations verticals on project-based initiatives.
- Support non-attorney timekeeper populations with People Operations processes and data coordination.
Non-Essential Functions
- Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned.
- Support Firm or department events, trainings, or initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Specialist: 3-5 years of progressive People Operations, HR Generalist or HR experience;
- Senior Specialist: 5+ years of progressive People Operations, HR Generalist or HR experience.
- Professional services experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting HR processes such as performance management, compensation, compliance, or employee relations.
- Exposure to immigration coordination and/or international HR support strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required.
- Experience working with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000- $110,000 for candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience and up to $120,000 for candidates with 5+ years of experience. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
