The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking a Senior ERP Accounting Transformation Lead to join our Enterprise Tech Projects team in Seattle, WA. The Senior ERP Accounting Transformation Lead is a critical hybrid role combining Senior Business Analyst, Accounting Workstream Lead, and Accounting/Controllership SME responsibilities. The role owns delivery of accounting-related Project Elevate workstreams and ensures operational readiness through go-live and stabilization. Responsibilities include:

Business Analysis & Elevate Solution Design

  • Lead working session activities for Elevate Core Financials

  • Translate accounting requirements into functional design artifacts

  • Support lift-and-shift MVP with future optimization foundation

  • Identify process debt, manual workarounds, and control gaps

Elevate Finance and Accounting Workstream Ownership

  • Serve as Finance and Accounting Workstream Lead for Elevate

  • Own scope, milestones, risks, and readiness deliverables

  • Support go/no-go decisions with PMO

  • Provide status and decision recommendations to leadership

Accounting & Controllership SME

  • Act as accounting SME for Core Financials

  • Ensure reporting, controls, and close requirements

  • Advise on accounting impacts of configuration and data

  • Partner with Controller on control design and sign-off

Testing, Data & Go-Live Readiness

  • Lead finance and accounting testing waves and user acceptance testing

  • Support data migration reconciliation and sign-off

  • Own accounting cutover and close impacts

  • Drive launch readiness and stabilization

Stakeholder Leadership

  • Advise accounting leadership and Elevate PMO

  • Facilitate design and readiness sessions

  • Influence without authority within workstream and cross-functional teams

  • Provide go-live leadership and consultation

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)

  • 8-12+ years in accounting, finance transformation, or ERP implementation roles

  • Deep knowledge of record-to-report and related accounting related cycles

  • Proven ERP workstream or major initiative ownership

  • Strong business analysis, testing, and stakeholder leadership skills

  • Ability to operate hands-on while leading through influence

The pay range for this position is $99,270 - $169,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
