What you'll be doing

This position provides advanced administrative and program support to the Spokane Regional Health District's Healthy Families Program. This position addresses the more complex program needs and functions independently in daily tasks. This position also uses initiative and independent judgement on non-routine matters, identifies and resolves problems, and performs a wide variety of complex tasks under general supervision..
Some Essential Functions Include:

  • Evaluates office procedures and filing systems for efficiency; devises new methods as appropriate.
  • Maintains, tracks and monitors supply of educational and promotional items for Child Find and Public Awareness Events, anticipating supply needs. Complies with purchasing policy when submitting appropriate purchase requisitions.
  • Maintains database for tracking ABCD program information and creating reports using software.
  • Provides backup support to referral coordinator with referral process by contacting families, entering information on the ESIT tracking form, entering information in the ESIT Data Management System (DMS), providing an overview of the ESIT program, assigning families to ESIT Provider Agency of parent/guardian choice.

What we need from you

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Three years of advanced administrative support experience including computer applications such as Office 365, spreadsheet development and management, office equipment functions such as telephone and email, customer service skills, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with diverse populations or related experience in a similar capacity, with some knowledge of the needs, concerns, and barriers of diverse populations.
  • Previous experience or knowledge relating to working with low-income and marginalized populations, social service work, or other applicable experience.
