Senior Revenue Accountant

We are partnering with a leading healthcare organization seeking an Interim Senior Revenue Accountantto support a major core system implementation. This role will backfill a key team member and play a critical part in maintaining accurate revenue accounting and reporting during a high-impact transformation.

This is a hands-on role focused on revenue accounting, reconciliation, and analysis - ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills and experience working with complex healthcare revenue streams.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare journal entries related to multiple revenue streams, including CMS, state programs, and premium billing
  • Perform complex reconciliations and analysis of revenue data (e.g., MMR, PPR, membership, premium billing)
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Actuarial, Enrollment, and Data teams to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy
  • Support month-end close, including revenue accruals and risk score adjustments
  • Analyze revenue trends and variances (e.g., PMPM, rate vs. volume) to support decision-making
  • Assist with regulatory and financial audits (CMS, state agencies, external auditors)
  • Ensure integrity of data flows and reporting into the general ledger (Oracle Fusion)
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on revenue or financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Journal entries, general ledger, and month-end close
    • Account reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Experience working in healthcare, health plans, or highly regulated environments
  • Exposure to one or more of the following is highly preferred:
    • CMS / Medicare revenue
    • MMR / PPR reconciliation
    • Risk adjustment / risk score accruals
    • Premium billing or membership-based revenue
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred)

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
