| Position Description: |
The Shyamlabis seeking a highly motivatedand enthusiastic Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. scientist to join our team as a postdoctoral research scholar. We investigate the mechanisms behind corneal endothelial homeostasis and disease. We use mouse models, bioinformatics, and cell culture studies to pursue our research questions. The Shyamlabis enthusiastic to mentor and train all members of thelaboratory. Recent publications demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment |
| Desirable Qualifications: |
Experience in specific skillsets ortechniques are not required. But example skillsets andtechniques that we typically use in the in thelabare:
Mouse models of corneal endothelial diseases
Primary mouse and human corneal endothelial cell isolation and culture
- Commontechniques in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology
Animal handling, animal injections
- Tissue processing and staining
- Cell/tissue imagingtechniques such as fluorescence and confocal microscopy
