About the role:
As a Lead Customer Solutions Engineer on our Digital Optimization Solutions team, you will lead business unit and engineering teams in identifying, developing, and offering products and services that provide our utility customers with solutions to their technical problems. You will be responsible for defining and offering customer solutions in the areas of plant reliability, maintenance optimization, component aging management, work management, and digital tools. You will typically prepare medium-to-large sized offers spanning mulitple years, to address our customers' needs and strategic initiatives. You will report to the Customer Solutions Manager for Digital Services and will be based out of our Cranberry Township, PA location.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate product knowledge of the offerings within the Digital Optimization Solutions product line, including the areas of:
Plant Reliability Optimization
Preventive Maintenance Optimization and Condition Monitoring
Component Aging Management Programs for Nuclear Power Plant License Renewals
Digital SaaS products for Equipment Reliability, Work Packages, and Procedures
Analyze request for quote (RFQ) requirements and lead proposal development, from development of scope and technical aspects, as well as cost estimates, and development of pricing strategies. Support negotiations with customers to secure order entry and grow backlog.
Help grow business relationships with utility customer engineers and management to position Westinghouse as a consultative partner in the marketplace.
Analyze voice of customers and work with Digital Optimization Solutions product leaders to manage the product roadmap and position Digital Optimization Solutions to be the leader in all focus segments.
Support financial forecasting to provide an accurate assessment of both financial timing and results for opportunities
Assist Project Managers and Contract Managers on contract changes.
Facilitate opportunity management and interface with Account Teams and Sales Teams to maintain the opportunity database (Microsoft D365). Additional interface support activities include Growth Planning, Key Opportunity Review, Marketing Material, and Capture Plan Development.
Work with project execution stakeholders, as needed, to exceed revenue and margin objectives, establishing best scenario for repeat, continued or expanded scopes.
Assist Product Managers in the development and implementation of strategic plans, ranging from individual product strategies to platform level business plan.
Complete development opportunities such as contributing to project execution work on a project within the portfolio to deepen product understanding and customer relationships. Although this role has a priority on business development, there is potential for technical development within the relevant product line in conjunction with business needs.
Communicate effectively and confidently with Westinghouse leadership, capable of conveying both technical and financial information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related technical discipline.
8+ more years of related experience in a technical field with a demonstrated history of leading small to medium complexity offers to successful completion of winning the order.
Familiar with customer requirements and needs related to operation and maintenance of nuclear power plants.
Familiar with the sales cycle of lead creation, opportunity identification, request for proposal analysis, offer development, and order entry.
Knowledge of nuclear power plants and be familiar with utility business practices including knowledge of utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices.
Proficient in working with offer development teams to define project scope, schedule, budget, and risk management plan.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800.00 to $146,000.00 per year. Why Westinghouse?
