Position Summary

Provide leadership for the sourcing / procurement activities for the Division in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. Will develop and execute strategies within a lean enterprise environment concentrating on Talent Leadership, Customer Experience, Risk Mitigation, and Cash Generation.

This role is responsible for leading the sourcing / procurement activity for the Division or large site. Position will report to the Division Supply Chain Manager and interacts with other functional leaders. Leads sourcing / procurement function to execute strategies within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster safe work environment
    * Drive overall strategic sourcing initiatives to minimize risk, reduce costs, and ensure best value continuity of supply
    * Lead team activities to meet Divisional goals for spend aggregation, and supplier consolidation, rationalization, and segmentation
    * Responsible to drive KPI results supporting the Supply Chain Strategy goals
    * Engage in critical or key negotiation activities
    * Leverage and manage supplier relationships and performance
    * Maintains in-depth knowledge of market conditions and industry trends related to Division
    * Leads Continuous Improvement activities to increase efficiency and reduce costs of internal procurement processes and systems
    * Ensure team compliance with Parker policies and procedures, and government requirements
    * Ensures alignment and communication with other functional leaders
    * Employs data analysis and information technology to improve Division performance
    * Create development plans for sourcing / procurement team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions
  • Other Duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other.
* Professional Certification - ASCM (APICS) or ISM preferred
* Supply Chain Training Program (Parker Executive Development Program)
* Advanced degree such as MBA preferred
Experience:
* Minimum of 7 years applicable experience in procurement, finance, materials management or operations, with experience leading a team
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Programs
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
* Understanding of lean enterprise principles and practices
