Packaging Supply Chain Planning Manager

As the Packaging Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will be an expert in all areas of supply chain planning from end to end to support our sales growth and supply chain performance goals.

You will be located onsite at the Oak Creek, WI facility or other PPG site in OH or PA. This role will require minimal travel. You will report to the Packaging Americas Director of Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead supply chain planning processes and analysis for Packaging SBU including coordination of global supply between regions.
  • Implement models to manage supply or inventory plans in a multi-echelon supply chain, monitor and adjust based on supply chain performance and escalate when supply gaps occur.
  • Measure inventory health and initiate actions to minimize at risk inventory and SSPL Obsolesce costs.
  • Ensure that the supply chain is set up to increase working capital to achieve required service levels. Perform analytics to aid in inventory replenishment and safety stock settings and analyzing stock vs. made to order items.

  • Participate in SIOP reviews providing analytics and developing regional supply plans between facilities to meet customer demand and service level, while achieving working capital goals.
  • Coordinate initiatives such as growth opportunities, raw materials substitution, allocation management, and product discontinuations with supply chain, procurement, technical and operations teams.
  • Support successful new product introductions and sales growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with PPG teams and external partners to improve supply from end to end.
  • Lead supply chain continuous improvement and cost savings projects from start to finish.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering field is required.
  • 3+ years of experience; batch manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Oracle &/or SAP experience; and APICS certification preferred
  • Manage complex spreadsheet data and functions (MS Excel or equivalent) is must.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence or Analytical Tools (e.g. MS Power BI), SQL applications, or AI tools.
