| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Research Assistant for the department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, supports the daily operations and scientific infrastructure of a newly established systems neuroscience laboratory. Perform independent research and contribute to maintenance of lab supplies and equipment. Responsibilities span assistance with laboratory set up, website design, and maintenance of shared computational analysis pipelines. Job will also include helping to order and maintain supplies in the lab.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists with day-to-day laboratory operations, including maintaining lab organization, managing shared spaces, and ensuring efficient laboratory workflows.
- Manages procurement activities including identifying vendors, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for submitting purchase recommendations to supervisor.
- Keep detailed records of experiments, design and maintain lab website, and develop lab analysis pipelines.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Currently enrolled in a degree program or satisfactory completion of an undergraduate/graduate degree.
- Experience in laboratory research, including experimental setup, equipment maintenance, and data acquisition.
