Genesis10 is currently seeking a Program Manager - Energy Efficiency - Hybrid position with a Major Utility Company located in Newark, NJ. This is a 14+ month contract opportunity.

Pay range:
$52.70 - $62.70 per hour

This role involves providing Commercial & Industrial program management oversight over the scope, schedule, and budget of energy efficiency projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects meet all program requirements, including scope and cost-effectiveness, while developing and maintaining processes for implementing energy efficiency initiatives. This position requires interfacing with associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to ensure program rules are maintained and regulatory reporting is accurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Commercial & Industrial program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects
  • Develop and manage the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs
  • Interface with client associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to assure Program rules and requirements are maintained
  • Develop and customize a customer's project proposal to maximize incentives and energy savings
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors, review deliverables, monitor performance, and process invoices
  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required
  • Perform project site visits as required
  • Compile and analyze data from various projects to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management
  • Analyze performance results for management reports and provide monthly project status forecasts
  • Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in the same fields
  • Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting financial spend
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word)
  • Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail
  • Able to travel within the client's service territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections, and manage relationships with contractors
  • Valid US driver's license

Desired skills:

  • Vendor management and invoicing skills
  • AEE CEM Certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
