  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Allied Health (AAH)
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Required within 30 days)
Education
  • H.S. Diploma / GED (Required)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Competencies
  • Patient Intake & Rooming: Collect chief complaint, family/social/surgical history, and perform medication reconciliation.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform urine catheterizations, bladder scanning, suture/staple removal, cast application/removal, and diagnostic testing at the point of care.
  • Medication & Orders: Administer vaccines/medications and manage prescription refills per protocol.
  • Telephone & Admin: Manage patient calls, coordinate referrals/testing, and complete check-in/check-out.
  • Patient Education: Provide written instructions and condition-specific education.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records within the EMR.
  • Safety: Read negative TB tests or refer positive screens to a nurse.
This role requires strict adherence to department-specific competencies and provider orders.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $18.33per hour - $29.69per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
