The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is seeking a lead printing and production professional to join our team! The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts. Salary and Benefits Starting salary is $29.14/hour with five annual incremental increases to $37.24/hour Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life, vision, and TSA options Benefit allowance: $1,169.58 per month for single coverage, $1,844.58 for two-party, or $2,044.58 for family coverage Job Summary The Lead Printing Services Technician keeps print operations running efficiently from start to finish, combining technical expertise with hands-on production. They support staff and clients with print-ready files, coordinate job requirements, and ensure high-quality output by selecting the right methods and equipment. From processing requests to finishing and preparing materials for delivery, they lead each stage of production. The role also plans and implements staff training, maintains equipment, manages inventory, and enforces safety practices, ensuring a smooth, reliable, and safe print environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate has progressively responsible experience in print production, including lead-level responsibilities. They are knowledgeable in four-color printing, modern print technologies, and print shop operations, with hands-on experience using digital equipment and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite. They are detail-oriented and technically skilled, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and handle physical production tasks in a fast-paced environment.
