About the Role

As the Manager, DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of security and operational efficiency in support of our customers and employees. With an emphasis on designing and implementing modern DevOps and DevSecOps technologies to support data platforms and software engineering deployments, you will contribute to a variety of areas and will focus on managing the DevOps, networking, storage and infrastructure teams to deliver secure solutions in a mixed on-premises and cloud environment.

  • Lead a team of employees from diverse technical backgrounds

  • Take ownership of the infrastructure tools and teams of our company

  • Share technical knowledge, best practices, and product-specific training with internal and external employees

  • Research, implement, document, and audit custom deployment and hosting solutions that meet our customer's unique requirements

  • Configure and deploy systems and services to support Infrastructure initiatives within the company via DevOps, cloud, and legacy means

  • Perform - Be hands on and able to directly support onsite and remote teams - core hours 9-5, M-F (after-hours maintenance and support as needed)

  • Communicate concerns and metrics to senior management and present on technical topics to a broad audience

  • Represent DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure priorities among other departments and within projects

About You

You're a good fit for the role of Manager, DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure if you have:

  • Minimum of eight years' IT-related experience, with 4-5 years focused on DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

  • Minimum of 3 years leading and managing a team of engineers and IT professionals

  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical employees

  • A strong Linux background including knowledge of containerization technologies and products

  • Enterprise experience with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Automation and CI/CD experience including tools such as terraform, ansible, and GitHub Actions

  • Development experience with languages such as Python, Bash, and/or Java

  • Enterprise experience with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure

  • Extensive experience troubleshooting complex technical issues including authentication services, certificates, and network connectivity

  • Experience/understanding of networking in traditional, virtualized, containerized, and cloud infrastructures

  • Strong cybersecurity and risk management awareness and expertise

  • Experience with data storage strategies in cloud and on-premises

  • Experience with database solutions

  • Experience with business continuity & disaster recovery methods and high availability architecture

  • A strong security background and familiarity with US Government security and compliance benchmarks (CIS, STIG)

  • The ability to lead a team to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment

  • A bachelor's degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience

  • Security-related certifications or training (CISSP, Sec+, etc.)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $117,700 USD - $218,600 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
