Southaven, MS / 6:00am-2:30pm / Monday-Friday

As a Warehouse Supervisor - AWP Outbound - 1st Shift at Genie, based inSouthaven, MS, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, developing, organizing, and driving improvement on a daily basis.

What you'll do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes a consolidated production plan and long-range schedule that incorporates sales projections, sales orders, priorities for all Terex AWP products, and available plant capacity, materials, and labor.

  • Employs computer-automated production planning, forecasting, and business simulation tools to assist with developing integrated production and material requirement plans.

  • Establishes regular communications with departments to ensure the company's master schedule is up-to-date and incorporates all confirmed sales orders, anticipates demand, product introductions, and customer delivery requirements.

  • Initiates communications on employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, attendance, discipline, working conditions, and personal assistance.

  • Resolves Team Member issues and problems, facilitating solutions or escalating situations to higher authority.

  • Conducts reviews of departmental Team Member performance.

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates the flow of work between and among operating units.

  • Communicates with Schedulers and Production Planners in the operating units to adjust master schedules based on short-term needs and variations.

  • Develops and ensures appropriate training for assigned area and TM's.

  • Communicates company philosophies and policies, trains, and demonstrates work routines, and documents performance and captures appropriately.

  • Maintains records of day-to-day activity including time, and process steps, and occurrences of important issues or activities.

  • Ensures all safety processes / records are kept up-to-date and ensures adherence of a healthy work environment.

  • Ensures that all Team Members are trained and observe safety practices.

  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

What you'll bring

Education and Experience

  • The position requires a bachelor's degree business, industrial engineering, or the equivalent. Five years of hands-on experience in a warehouse setting processes in a Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Substantial additional experience may substitute for some formal education.

Knowledge and Skills

  • The position requires seasoned specialized knowledge of service parts shipping and inventory management.

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of Shipping practices of multiple Carriers.

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of computer-aided planning and simulation tools such as WMS.

  • Requires advanced problem-solving skills to develop optimal solutions develop alternative solutions, and sequence action plans.

  • Requires advanced math and statistics skills, sufficient to integrate times, quantities, performance data, and ratios.

  • Requires skill at writing professional correspondence and reports.

  • Requires sufficient human relations skills to facilitate small group presentations, be persuasive in conveying schedules, resolve conflicts, and maintain harmony with internal and external customers.

Abilities

  • Requires the ability to carry out all aspects of the position.

  • Requires the ability to use advanced modeling tools to develop production flow needs. Requires the ability to analyze large volumes of data under significant time constraints. Requires the ability to read and understand all shipping rules and regulations.

  • Requires the ability to use computer-aided production planning and forecasting tools. Requires the ability to plan and manage annual and monthly budgets. Requires the ability to instruct others.

Physical Abilities

  • Requires ambulatory ability to tour manufacturing facilities on a recurring basis and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Requires sufficient hand-arm-eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and retrieve work materials.

  • Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers.

  • Requires sufficient auditory ability to project voice to a small group and to carry on conversations over the phone and teams and in person.

  • Requires the ability to work extra hours on a daily basis if needed with short notice as production requires.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $85,000.
