Job Description

Amcor Specialty Cartons started the implementation of Operations Plus (O+), an Integrated Working System (IWS), in September 2019. The O+ rollout was initially supported and co-led by Ernst & Young consultants. To build sustainability, deploy regionally across other plants and migrate away from EY we introduced the role of Regional Operations Plus Coaches. Following the deployment of RTTs and once we started Pillar Activation in ASC Asia and ASC Europe, we transformed 4 of the 8 regional coaches to "Internal Consultants" (ICs). Currently we have a mix of Regional Coaches (4 off) and IC's (4 off). The intent of this new OCPL role is to create 1 role with expanded responsibilities as described below.

The role reports to the Global O+ Director (dotted or sold line according to the region). Its main accountabilities are grouped in three major areas as follows:

Operation + Plus deployment (RTT and Pillar) Capability: owner of a Pillar or RTT DMS to support OGSM/CBN. Performance: owner of an ASC line configuration (standard, performance) at global level Leadership: Leader of the ASC organization

Operation:

  • Each OCPL will work with the Regional Leadership (Ops Director, VP) to develop the RTT and Pillar roll out plan to support the regional business need (OGSM/CBN).
  • Regional OCPLs are accountable to execute the deployment of RTT and Pillar and escalate any issue or challenge to regional leadership and Global O+ team

Capability: OCPLs own a pillar or a DMS at Global level

  • Subject Matter Expert for their respective Pillar or DMS.
  • Lead Global network to ensure the right level of standardization and benchmark across the ASC sites.
  • Review in process and output measures of their DMS to improve their health contribution to OGSM/CBN
  • Perform health checks and leverage OCPL network to get feedback
  • Develop action plan - masterplan for their Pillar and/or DMS to contribute to the OGSM/CBN

Performance:

  • Lead an Equipment Area network according to the defined organization setup including relevant ASC site (Global Level).
  • Deliver expected results by reducing variability amongst ASC plants and by eliminating priority losses according to glidepath and support ASC Zero Loss Journey.
  • Own and continuously improve operations Plus Standards (CIL, CL, MP&S, RCO, SUC) for that technology.
  • Be involved in initiatives to provide feedback as part of the design reviews and Technical Readiness Assessment
  • Own staffing and training plan for a line configuration - develop SUC with local and Global SME for the line configuration Autonomous Team

Operation:

  • Self-sufficient to work with the regional stakeholder to build the O+ deployment plan and execute it.

  • Ensure DMS and/or Pillar are providing the relevant and required capability for each ASC site globally to deliver their CBN as per their Zero Loss Journey

Performance: own a line configuration at global level

  • Lead a Global Equipment Area networks according to the defined organization setup including relevant ASC site (Global Level).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver and support O+ Pillars and RTT's on site
  • Sustain and develop O+ as a strategic initiative for ASC.
  • Ensure Operations Plus principles and processes are introduced, clear and maintained in ASC sites.
  • Lead ASC towards levels 4 of Operations Plus maturity
  • Lead ASC to deliver on their operational performance targets in line with strategic plan
  • Develop and roll out golden operational and organizational standard for a line configuration
  • Deliver the waste and OEE glidepath for a line configuration at global level to support each site delivering its CBN

Qualifications/Requirements

Formal Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience leading an Operations Transformational Role (Eg IWS)
  • Bachelor degree in engeniering, production or manufacturing areas.
  • Lead transformational role in the introduction of IWS, including the "Run on Target" approach in several industries
  • Deep knowledge of IWS processes and materials
  • Numerate

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $129,200 to $161,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $129,200 to $193,800 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations.
