Schedules available include working every other weekend and every other holiday

Available Shifts:

  1. 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. | 75 hours per two-week pay period
  2. 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | 32 hours per two-week pay period
  3. 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. | 32 hours per two-week pay period

Required Experience:

  1. Minimum one year of experience cooking for large groups or in high-volume food service environments

Preferred Education

  1. Culinary degree, certification, or formal culinary training
  2. Training or experience related to nutrition, food safety, or therapeutic diets

The Difference You'll Make

  1. Prepare and cook meals in accordance with resident diet orders, menu standards, and portion guidelines
  2. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in accordance with facility, state, and local regulations
  3. Support preparation of modified and therapeutic diets as needed (mechanical soft, pureed, low sodium, diabetic, etc.)
  4. Assist with dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining a clean, organized food preparation environment
  5. Support safe food transport and delivery to dining areas as needed
  6. Accurately follow and adjust recipes to support volume meal production
  7. Work collaboratively with dining team members and supervisors to ensure efficient meal service
  8. Provide respectful, service-focused interactions with residents, families, and team members
  9. Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and pride in delivering high-quality dining services

Qualifications:

Education Preferred:

  1. Culinary degree, certification, or formal culinary training
  2. Training or experience related to nutrition, food safety, or therapeutic diets

Experience Required:

  1. Minimum one year of experience cooking for large groups or in high-volume food service environments

Preferred:

  1. Experience in senior living, healthcare dining, or institutional food service settings
  2. Experience preparing meals that follow diet orders and portion standards
  3. Experience scaling or adjusting recipes for volume production

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
  2. Ability to work cooperatively with team members and follow supervisory direction
  3. Ability to meet attendance expectations and maintain professional work standards
  4. Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation
  5. Must meet all federal, state, and local health requirements, including post-offer screening requirements
