The Opportunity:

UCF is seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager III to lead the end-to-end implementation of the Willow AI Platform across the university's building portfolio - transforming how our campus is monitored, managed, and optimized. In this high-impact role, you'll blend strategic leadership with hands-on execution, driving effective platform deployment, meaningful stakeholder adoption, and alignment with UCF's operational, sustainability, and digital transformation goals. You'll bring deep experience in enterprise technology rollouts, a talent for building relationships across all levels of an organization, and a genuine passion for using data and intelligent systems to improve the built environment - all while mentoring fellow project managers and elevating process maturity across the PMO.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee full lifecycle implementation of the Willow AI Platform, from planning and requirements gathering to deployment, testing, and post launch optimization.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the university, Willow, other vendors as necessary, UCF-IT teams, facilities management, and any other external partners.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with UCF-IT PMO standards.

  • Coordinate data integration efforts required by the project, including building information models (BIM), any IoT sensors, asset data, and existing facility management systems.

  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define use cases, success metrics, and adoption strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with university policies, data governance standards, and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to executive sponsors and steering committees.

  • Collaborate with UCF Technology Adoption department for all change management activities, and identify opportunities to expand platform capabilities and drive continuous improvement in building operations.

  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, templates, tools.

  • Ensure thorough documentation: charters, requirement artifacts, test plans, deployment plans, lessons learned, post-mortems.




Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience working with Willow, or similar AI-powered digital twin or smart building platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls Metasys, or comparable).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Experience managing technology deployment projects in facilities, construction, or built environment settings, including coordination with architects, engineers, or facilities operations teams.

  • Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, including sensor integration, connected device management, or building automation systems (BAS/BMS).

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or familiarity with digital twin concepts as applied to facilities or infrastructure management.




Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $89,076 - $110,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
