Position Overview
As the RN Unit Manager, you'll provide 24-hour clinical oversight for residents on your assigned unit while leading and supporting the nursing team. You'll oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans; coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary professionals; and provide leadership, coaching, and direction to nursing staff. This role combines clinical expertise, team leadership, staff development, and resident advocacy to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Oversee nursing services and resident care for your assigned unit
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Coordinate interdisciplinary goals and approaches to resident care needs
- Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance and address concerns appropriately
- Support staffing needs, including participation in hiring and employee development
- Ensure accurate nursing documentation, reporting, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized unit environment
- Monitor the quality of resident care and promote compliance with established standards
- Encourage staff engagement and recognize team members for exceptional contributions
- Identify and implement ideas that improve resident outcomes, team productivity, and employee satisfaction
- Attend required meetings, in-services, and educational programs
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and facility administration to support organizational goals
- Promote resident rights, dignity, preferences, and quality of life
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
RN Unit Manager - Qualifications:

Possession of a State License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse required. -
Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience, and at least one (1) year of experience in a Nursing leadership role; interest or experience in geriatrics required, experience with dementia patients desirable. -
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred. -
Management skills for supervising and coordinating care of residents required. Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing, utilize creative problem solving, and handle problems diplomatically required. -
Exhibits characteristics of effective managerial leadership skills. These characteristics should include: desire for improvement; builder of trust; creating an environment where staff can experience pride. Their efforts are directed at allowing each worker to perform his or her own work and performing in a manner consistent with the aims and standards of the organization. - This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
