Sr Product Owner

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into actionable epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. You will be responsible for creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the team's product backlog, optimizing the value of the work the team performs, and acting as the primary point of contact for the product.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and associated epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Accountable for defining and accepting the value delivered by the team
• Create, prioritize and maintain the team s backlog for assigned products in collaboration with stakeholders
• Continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
• Work with the team, Scrum Master, and other Product Owners to coordinate external team dependencies
• Optimize the value of the work the team performs
• Act as the primary contact for questions about the product
• Act as the primary contact for development work being performed by the team
• Work with key stakeholders to define and ensure the success of product releases

Requirements:

• Ability to understand business drives and goals, to think strategically and analytically to comprehend the big picture while maintaining focus on individual requirements
• Must maintain open communication channels, know when to escalate, ask the right questions, communicate with impact and drive decisions across multiple teams
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira
• Experience with Product Data Management
• Experience in an Agile - Scrum Master capacity

Desired skills:

• Product Owner/Product Management SAFe Agile Certifications
• Reliable Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance knowledge and experience
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and business acumen
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent role in working with product partners and application development teams
• Proven ability to translate business plans/policies into specific goals, tactics, requirements and actionable plans
• Ability to lead an Agile team as needed
• Established ability to meet aggressive deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities and competing priorities
• Able to think on the spot and maintain integrity and composure under pressure
• Experience as a Product Owner or equivalent role

Pay range: $64.02 - $72.02 per hour
