Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures, and written instructions Basic understanding of workplace safety practices Experience Requirements Previous industrial, manufacturing, construction, painting, or general labor experience preferred Experience with abrasive blasting, spray painting, coatings, or surface preparation is a plus Experience using hand tools and working with metal materials beneficial No prior blasting or painting experience required; training available Preferred Qualifications Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow detailed instructions and quality standards Safety-focused mindset Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment Ability to wear enclosed personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods Physical Capabilities Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift Comfortable controlling and maneuvering a high-pressure blast hose Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift regularly Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment Comfortable wearing a full-body blast suit with supplied air Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions Job Duties Perform abrasive blasting to remove rust, paint, scale, and debris from metal surfaces Prepare surfaces using sanders, scrapers, wire brushes, steel wool, and other tools Apply industrial coatings including paint, varnish, enamel, stain, and lacquer Inspect surfaces to ensure proper preparation before painting Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and supervisor instructions Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all PPE requirements Progress from full-time blasting duties into painting responsibilities as training is completed Support quality standards and production goals within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
