Description & Requirements

At Jack Henry, we're more than a technology company, we're a force for good in financial services. We're redefining how community banks and credit unions connect with the people they serve. Our mission is rooted in people inspired innovation, empowering financial institutions to deliver seamless, secure, and human centered experiences. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that are paving the way for the next generation of digital banking and payments, but our true impact begins with our associates. If you're ready to help transform an industry and grow with a company that values purpose, collaboration, and excellence then we'd love to meet you.

This role operates across two high-velocity engineering teams building modern, cloud-native backend services for real-time deposit engines and pioneering DeFi solutions like tokenized deposits and Stablecoin transfers. You will be instrumental in our expansion into Lending and on-chain collateralized products, working within a multifunctional team where TBAs are deeply embedded in the full engineering lifecycle-from requirements and AI-augmented implementation planning to automated testing and production support. Success in this role requires a "Product Engineer" mindset, exceptional self-discipline in a remote environment, and a relentless curiosity for how emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain can modernize traditional banking.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

This position is ineligible for immigration sponsorship and support. Please do not apply if at any time you will need immigration support now or in the future (i.e., H-1B, STEM OPT Training Plans, etc.).

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Technical Product Engineering: Translates complex banking logic (interest accrual, escheatment, loan amortization, etc) into actionable technical requirements and implementation plans.
  • AI-Augmented Analysis: Leverages AI tools to define implementation plans from roadmap items with direct context from existing business requirements and technical designs.
  • Full Lifecycle Ownership: Participates in architecture, design, and automated acceptance testing; including leveraging observability tools and supporting services in production via an on-call rotation.
  • Stakeholder Bridging: Interacts with customers and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of real-time posting services and blockchain-based integrations.
  • Process Innovation: Serves as a resource for business process re-design, determining how system enhancements can improve flow and function.
  • Documentation & Testing: Creates comprehensive system documentation and performs application, system, and acceptance tests.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, management, project coordination, and/or implementation in the financial, fintech, or payments industry.
  • Deep domain expertise in Banking and Lending (specifically loan lifecycles and core accounting).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume communication and requirements within a remote, Slack-heavy environment.
  • A "continuous learner" mindset with a natural aptitude for mastering new technologies and modern cloud stacks.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience with Blockchain/DeFi (specifically stablecoins, tokenized deposits, or on-chain collateralized lending).
  • Familiarity with using AI tools/LLMs to enhance business requirements, technical documentation or implementation planning efficiency.
  • Experience with real-time transaction posting systems.
  • Experience with demand deposit, checking, and/or savings account systems.
  • Work experience with financial institutions
  • Experience presenting information to customers and executives.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity. Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement on this posting, we still encourage you to apply. We're looking for passionate, driven individuals who align with our mission and can bring unique perspectives to our team.
