What You Can Expect As our Engineer I Intern, you will gain handson experience supporting the development, testing, and validation of Power Plant Controller (PPC) systems. In this role, you will assist with developing PSCAD models for the BroadView PPC Controller, creating models suitable for hardwareintheloop (HIL) simulations, and developing test cases to evaluate controller performance. You will also conduct simulation testing and help validate control functions to ensure system reliability and alignment with project requirements. This Engineer I/ internship offers valuable exposure to advanced power system modeling, control logic validation, and realworld applications supporting renewable energy integration. This internship is based in San Francisco, CA and runs for three months, from June 1, 2026, through August 21, 2026. You will report to the Controls Engineering Director.

Compensation Hourly Range: $34.25 - 57.09 USD hourly This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
