Front Desk / Patient Services Representative Location: Midland Schedule: * Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM * Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM * Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary A busy orthotic and prosthetic medical practice is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk / Patient Services Representative. This role supports a high-volume clinic (20-35 patients per day) and is ideal for someone with strong medical office experience, excellent customer service skills, and confidence working with EMR systems and insurance verification. Key Responsibilities * Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner * Verify and enter patient demographic information accurately * Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations/precertifications * Quote and collect required payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles * Schedule and manage patient appointments * Answer phones and provide general office support * Update patient information in the EMR system * Assist with patient check-out procedures * Cross-train in prior authorization functions * Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical office front desk role * Minimum 2 years of experience using EMR/Electronic Medical Record systems * Minimum 2 years of experience with medical terminology * Proven experience verifying insurance coverage * Strong computer skills and attention to detail * Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience in an orthotic and prosthetic office (strong plus) * Familiarity with OPIE EMR * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Skills & Competencies * EMR systems * Medical terminology * Insurance verification and authorizations * Patient scheduling * Customer service and patient support * Accuracy and organization * Administrative support Why Join Us? * Stable, full-time schedule with short Fridays * Team-oriented medical environment * Opportunity for cross-training and growth Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, MI.
