Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Professional/Research/Manager Seasonal for Rutgers Cooperative Extension (
RCE) Water Resources Program.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Assists with the implementation of a contract with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) to provide engineering expertise and technical support on the NOAA climate resilience grant - CRP25-011 [Project ID 838920].
- Reviews engineering designs.
- Interfaces with NJDEP and NOAA.
- Reviews constructions documents.
- Performs other duties including formal review letters of proposed climate resilient projects, NOAA/NJDEP forms and progress reporting to satisfy grant requirements and formal review letters of construction documents and bids.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Doctorate degree in environmental engineering, bioenvironmental engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related field of engineering.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in stormwater management, watershed management, best management practice design and implementation; outreach education that includes field research, data analysis, and directing technical staff; and serving in a leadership role advocating and implementing good water quality/ watershed management practices.

- Strong writing, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.

| Physical Demands and Work Environment |
- Weekly schedule will be flexible and vary week to week. Typical working hours are between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
- May be asked with advanced notice to work outside of these working hours from time to time but no more than 40 hours/week will be assigned. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
- All work will start and end at 14 College Farm Road, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 in room 216 of the Environmental and Natural Resources Sciences Building on the Cook Campus.
