Responsibilities The Financial Counselor for PraireCare Programs in Minnesota is responsible for providing patients/guarantors with a positive financial experience by helping them navigate and understand insurance benefits and potential financial liability during the admissions process and throughout the client experience with Newport Healthcare until all financial obligations are fulfilled. This role is the client's/guarantor's point of contact for financial assistance questions. The Financial Counselor advises patients/guarantors over the phone on their insurance benefits and coverage, creates estimates, collects payments, and sets up payment arrangements as appropriate.
