DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides essential clerical support that keeps the office running efficiently and ensures accurate communication across the department. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Document Preparation: Type correspondence, reports, policies, and other documents using computer applications
- Editing Accuracy: Format, proofread, and edit materials while meeting required deadlines
- Clerical Support: Assist managers and staff through typing, tracking, and cross-trained duties
- Reception Tasks: Assist visitors, answer calls, and route inquiries to appropriate staff
- File Management: Maintain organized filing systems for all correspondence and records
- Confidential Handling: Use discretion when working with sensitive information

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
