Description

The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Staff Research Associate 2 to join the Pharmaceutical Policy & Outcomes Lab. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research focused on FDA regulation, pharmaceutical pricing, intellectual property, and the use of real-world evidence to evaluate clinical and health policy outcomes.

Responsibilities include data extraction and analysis, coding, statistical analysis, data visualization, literature reviews, manuscript preparation, and coordination with external research collaborators. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, an interest in healthcare policy or outcomes research, and a desire to work in a collaborative academic research environment. This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals preparing for future training in medicine, law, public health, or health policy research.

Hourly range: $31.23-$50.24

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet internal deadlines, work independently, use judgment and make decisions
  • Ability to organize and update paperwork with supervision
  • Ability to accomplish work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Ability to extract data in a timely manner with careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize and interpret data.
  • Ability to balance one's time in completing multiple tasks related to different projects.
  • Ability to help draft and edit academic manuscripts.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree Master's in Public Health or Epidemiology
  • Ability to use basic statistical software programs (e.g., R or STATA).
