For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com Senior Program Manager Position Description Management responsibilities include the cost, schedule, scope, and quality management of the program or project throughout the life cycle, comprising opportunity identification & concept development, generation of customer-specific proposals, development, verification & validation testing, and ultimately through full-rate production and product line phase-out as applicable. Essential Functions Project / Program Management * Develop Project / Program Plan * Define Work Breakdown Structure and Program Team * Project execution * Change management * Project completion, closeout, and lessons learned Project / Program Cost & Schedule Management * Budgeting, Estimation, and forecasting Integrated Master Schedule development & management - activity & milestone definition Monitor, track, and report actual costs, Variance reporting * Perform Estimate to Complete and Estimates at Completion * Change Management, budgeting, and control Project / Program Resource Management * Identify project/ program team roles, responsibilities & accountabilities. Creation of program organizational structure and decision hierarchy, monitoring and management of team performance to plan Project / Program Risk Management (Risk & Opportunity identification) * Quantitative/qualitative analysis * Abatement and tracking of Risk Project / Program Communications * Communications plan, distribution, and feedback. Primary customer interface for program-related items * Monthly & Quarterly Reviews preparation & conduct program schedule, and cost performance reporting Critical Competencies * The PM must be highly skilled in successfully managing the development of new technology, products, subsystems, and systems. * Excellent management and influencing skills, as well as excellent quantitative skills, are required, with frequent utilization of tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Office suite, and employment of the ERP system. * The PM must have the ability to understand the technical elements of the program or project sufficiently to be able to adequately manage, guide, and make decisions that reduce overall technical risk. * Participates in the financial auditing and assessment of completed projects and the development of future project roadmaps. Primary Point of contact between Kearfott and Customers - Responsible for being the Voice of the customer for our internal discussions * Intermediate level collaboration working with internal and external stakeholders to drive the program to completion, with some support from another PM or Leadership * Demonstrates skills to gather information and deliver a clear message to internal and external stakeholders. understands and provides limited input for the strategic direction for Kearfott Education & Experience Requirements * Bachelor's in Engineering and 3- 5 years of experience with complex electronic systems or equivalent required * 8+ years of project management experience or equivalent required * DOD Program Management/EVM experience highly desired * An MS or an MBA is preferred. PMP Certification is preferred * Well-versed in MS Project and MS Office suite, with the ability to learn and extract data from an ERP system * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across functional areas * Must be a U.S. citizen In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $150,000 - $190,000 Annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
