Job Title: Field Engineer 3

Location(s): Groton/New London, CT

Job Summary:
Seeking Field Engineer 3 professionals with 1-3 years of desktop/field support experience to provide onsite hardware, software, and network support in a government environment. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills, professionalism, and experience supporting desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, diagnose, maintain, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and low-end servers.
  • Perform hardware/software troubleshooting and support.
  • Re-image and reload PCs/laptops.
  • Install and maintain PCs, peripherals, software, networks, and servers.
  • Support legacy systems and enterprise storage products including disk replacement.
  • Handle installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC activities).
  • Support networking products from operational and maintenance perspectives.
  • Test and certify PCs, servers, networks, and approved applications.
  • Manage and update incident/request tickets within ticketing systems.
  • Escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and SLA compliance.
  • Maintain professionalism in communication, appearance, and service delivery.

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of computer support / desktop support experience.
  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with ticket management systems.
  • Knowledge of desktop/laptop deployment and support.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work split shifts including weekends.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hardware repair experience.
  • Software deployment experience.
  • Mobile device deployment/configuration (iOS, Android).
  • Certifications such as A+, Security+, Apple, Dell, etc.
Additional Information
  • Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen.
  • Schedule: Split Shift - 20 hours on weekdays + 20 hours on weekends.
  • Driving Requirement: Primarily non-driving, but may require travel between sites.
