Job Description Visa's Technology Management organization is seeking an experienced Director of Automation and Reporting to lead the strategy, development, and operationalization of automation capabilities and enterprise reporting frameworks across Visa's Corporate IT portfolio. This leader will drive continuous improvement through process automation, and data-driven insights that enable operational excellence and informed decision-making at every level of the organization. The Work Itself
- Own and evolve the enterprise reporting and analytics function, delivering actionable dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive-level summaries for technology leadership.
- Define and execute a data warehouse strategy for the Corporate IT team
- Integrate data sources to the data warehouse of choice including operations data, workforce data and vendor and spend related information
- Partner with technology, engineering, and operations teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation opportunities that reduce toil, improve efficiency, and enhance quality.
- Build and lead a team of automation engineers and reporting analysts, setting strategic direction, managing performance, and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Define governance, standards, and best practices for automation platforms, tooling, and reporting infrastructure across the organization.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to accelerate automation initiatives and modernize reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and present operational metrics, program-level reporting, and strategic insights that inform technology investment decisions.
- Manage vendor relationships and tool evaluations to ensure the organization leverages best-in-class automation and analytics capabilities.
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for the automation and reporting function.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- 8 or more years of experience in technology operations, engineering, or program management.
- 5 or more years of experience managing and leading technical teams in a large enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience building or scaling automation programs using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting, RPA platforms, or AIOps solutions.
- Strong proficiency in reporting and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ServiceNow dashboards).
- Experience integrating Generative AI tools into automation or reporting workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical content to executive audiences.
- Background in ITIL or comparable IT service management frameworks.
- Experience operating in a 24x7 global technology environment.

U.S. Applicants Only The estimated salary range for this positionis $153,600.00 to $ 245,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Work Hours Varies upon the needs of the department. Travel Requirements This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
