Summary
The Library Program ManagerIforUser Services & Education leads and managesreference and educationservicesthat ensureequitableaccess to libraryresources and servicesthatfacilitateexcellence in research, clinicalcare, andeducation.This role overseesdata-informed service delivery, training, andaffiliated useroutreach programs that enhance user engagement anddemonstratemeasurable impact.The Program Manager for User Services & Education leads the design, implementation, and assessment of education and reference initiatives to ensure responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement.This role manages instructional development, evidence-based practice support, and targeted outreach tooptimizeawareness and effective use of library services.This role worksclosely with the Director,MCWLibraries, to align user services programs, staffing, and performance metrics with the library's strategic goals. Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis. Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Required Experience: 6 years Preferred Education: Master's Degreeor higher in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution Preferred Experience: 5years ofrelatedexperience, preferablyinan academic medical center Required Certification/Licensure(s): Preferred Certification/Licensure(s): Medical Library Association Academy of Health Information Professionals credentials preferred Physical Requirements
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously. Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects. #LI-AV1
