What You'll Do:

• Oversee all project phases from inception to completion
• Conduct detailed project reviews to confirm deliverables and estimate costs
• Manage onsite and offsite construction ensuring compliance with regulations
• Coordinate with general contractors and service providers
• Monitor project progress daily and prepare detailed reports
• Plan ahead to identify and resolve potential issues
• Negotiate contract terms, obtain permits, and licenses
• Manage risks and ensure adherence to quality standards

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, construction management, engineering, or business
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with a focus on student housing or multifamily projects
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex construction processes
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret construction documents and manage project budgets

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience managing projects outside of North Carolina
• Familiarity with local building codes and permit processes
• Advanced knowledge of construction technology and project management software

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields
• Significant project management experience within the multifamily or student housing sectors
• Proven track record of successfully leading ground-up development projects

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel locally and out of state as needed
• Residency or willingness to relocate to Wilmington, NC
