POSITION SPECIFICS

The Department of Finance of The Pennsylvania State University (University Park) seeks to fill one non-tenure-line faculty position (rank and salary commensurate with experience) beginning in August 2026. Candidates must contribute to the mission of the Smeal College of Business and the Department of Finance in the areas of teaching and service. In particular, the candidate must effectively teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels; engage in service activities commensurate with their rank; and contribute to the collegial and intellectual atmosphere of the department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have a graduate degree in finance or a closely related field; a terminal degree is preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who possess a CFA or CFP credential and have relevant industry experience. Applicants should have an established record of effective teaching in the finance field at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with particular emphasis on wealth management.
