What You Will Do:

As GFT continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an emerging Senior Transit Project Manager to support our Transportation Group in Metro Nashville, TN. This role follows a hybrid work model,requiring a minimum of 3 days of onsite office attendance.

GFT is seeking a candidate with 15-20 years of experience in managing multi-disciplined teams for passenger rail and/or transit projects in Tennessee.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager for FTA/FRA funded projects involving Bus Facilities, Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail, Heavy Rail Rapid Transit, or Commuter Rail. PE Registrationrequired. ABachelordegree isrequired, masters preferred, and progressive positions with major transportation agencies or consultants expected.

The positionis responsible forcoordinating and reviewing the work of engineers and planners working in diverse disciplines to design and plan major transportation infrastructure. The position requires good verbal and writing skills and ability to successfully interact with clients and federal agency oversight. Work includes corridor planning, alternativesanalysisNEPA documentation, project scheduling, and funding applications. Some travelnecessary.

In this capacity, the successful candidate willbe responsible forthe following:

General duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as Project Manager with involvement in client development, projectdeliveryand overall client satisfaction both locally and in other regions in support of company projects.
  • Responsible for overall supervision and quality of those projects assigned. Assure projects conform to the contractual agreements the firm has made to our clients.
  • Assureprojects are completed within theallocated period of timeand within the budget that has been assigned.
  • Assistin business development goalsestablishedfor the firm.
  • Grow into a role to provide team leadership. Plan, organize, and supervise the work of staff.
  • Evaluateprogressof the staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve overallobjectives.
  • Mentor other employees to be able toparticipatein transit projects.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;establishingpersonal networks;participatingin professional societies.

Education | Experience:

Whatyou willbring to our firm:

  • Bachelor'sdegreecivil engineering or planning fieldrequired,Master'spreferred.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of management experience in the planning and design of transit/rail/ bus/ facility infrastructure is desired.
  • Experience with transit projects ranging from planning/concept design/through project development is valuable.
  • Registration as a licensed PE or AICPrequired.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $170,000 -$210,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
