Job Description

Performs a variety of duties in the receiving, storing, and handling, loading and unloading, requisition, issue, delivery and retrieval of automotive repair parts, supplies and material, and other items of Government equipment or property as required. Performs routine clerical tasks such as typing, filing, document copying, maintaining logs, and the inventory database.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintains complete and accurate property accountability records covering receipt, issue, transfer, and current location of specified items

* Maintains close physical control and security of all items, taking and reconciling inventories as directed

* Ensures items are properly stored, cared for, and used only for purposes specified under the contract

* Establishes and maintains required record-keeping and files, assuring availability of documentation for verification

* Receives and fills requests for materials or supplies, obtaining signature

* Retrieves material, files or records as required to support customer request or craftsman requisition

* Requisitions, issues, receives, and stocks material files and records and stores them according to their use.

* Controls inventory, work order inputs and man-hour charges

* Performs after-hours, weekend, and emergency call-back services as required

* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications



* High school diploma or equivalent

* Minimum of two years' experience in an automotive parts warehousing or stock keeping position

* Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license

* Ability to gather data and assemble in report form

* Ability to communicate written and oral information and perform duties without more than normal supervision

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

* Physically capable of manual labor

* Ability to operate material handling equipment

* Ability to pass a NASA GSFC forklift physical

* Capable of lifting packages weighing up to 70 pounds

* Ability to stoop, bend, push and pull

* Must possess basic computer literacy skills to include the use of the World Wide Web, operative skills regarding MS Office programs (Word and Excel)

* Must be capable of sitting, viewing computer monitor and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

* The work of this position is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions

* Must be able to successfully complete a background screening

* Must possess or be able to obtain a public trust clearance prior to employment and maintain public trust clearance for the duration of employment

Rate of Pay/Benefits

Hourly Rate: $26.22

Benefits Information



Our company offers a generous benefits package including 16 days of personal leave (accrued), 56 hours of sick leave (accrued), and 11 paid holidays.
