Job Summary

The Business Analyst Intern is an entry-level summer position designed for a motivated early-career candidate interested in business analysis, data visualization, and project performance reporting. Working directly with the COO Business Analyst and reporting to the COO Business Manager, the intern will support the development of a Power BI report that integrates data from both an Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) Data Warehouse and Microsoft Project.

This report will provide key performance insights - specifically Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) - to internal stakeholders such as Directors, Project Managers, and Group Leads. The role offers hands-on experience with enterprise data systems, performance metrics, and business communication.

Essential Job Duties
  • Participate in meetings with Directors, Project Managers, and Group Leads to understand reporting needs
  • Assist in gathering, cleaning, and preparing data from Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and MS Project for reporting
  • Support the design, development, and testing of Power BI dashboards focused on CPI and SPI metrics
  • Collaborate with the COO Business Analyst to document data sources, data flows, and reporting logic
  • Perform basic data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Help translate analytical findings into clear, concise summaries for internal customers
  • Contribute to process documentation, workflow diagrams, and presentation materials
  • Assist with general business analysis tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Graduate
  • Demonstrated interest in Business, Economics, Communication, or Data Analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools or similar (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
  • Enjoys tackling and solving problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Graduate with some university-level coursework in business, economics, data analytics, or a related discipline
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel
  • Basic coding or scripting experience (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA)
  • Experience using Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with project management concepts or tools (e.g., MS Project)

Hiring Range

$19.00 - $21.25 Per Hour

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
