New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Technical Content Specialist to support strategic communications across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional with strong technical writing skills, curiosity about engineering and manufacturing processes, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand content.

The Technical Content Specialist will develop written and visual content that highlights our advanced manufacturing capabilities, engineering expertise, innovation, products, employees, and company culture. This position works closely with engineers, technical experts, operations leaders, and marketing stakeholders across multiple locations.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to balance technical accuracy with compelling storytelling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Research, write, edit, and organize technical content for websites, brochures, presentations, recruiting materials, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Translate complex engineering, manufacturing, and product information into clear, engaging narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop content related to advanced manufacturing, CNC machining, automation, assembly operations, R&D, engineering innovation, and product performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineers, operations leaders, and subject matter experts across multiple company locations to identify newsworthy projects, product developments, process improvements, and customer success stories.
  • Conduct interviews and gather technical information to support content development initiatives.
  • Social Media & Brand Communications
  • Create professional and engaging social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Balance technical expertise with culture-focused, employee-focused, recruiting, and community-oriented storytelling.
  • Support social media amplification efforts by identifying and promoting relevant company content across business units.
  • Visual Content & Documentation
  • Coordinate and support the creation of high-quality photography, video, graphics, and visual assets showcasing manufacturing processes, products, equipment, and employees.
  • Collaborate with external creative agencies, photographers, and production vendors when needed.
  • Brand & Content Management
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging and voice across all company communications while highlighting the unique capabilities of each business unit.
  • Ensure all materials meet corporate brand standards, quality expectations, and approval requirements.
  • Organize and maintain approved content, imagery, and supporting documentation for final production and publishing.
  • Project Coordination
  • Manage multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Track approvals and maintain organized records of finalized content and assets.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Technical & Professional Skills



  • Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate engineering and manufacturing concepts accurately and effectively.
  • Excellent interviewing and information-gathering skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to proactively identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for content improvement.
  • Experience creating or coordinating visual content, graphics, photography, or video assets.


Communication & Collaboration



  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
  • Ability to adapt communication style for technical, professional, recruiting, and community audiences.


Technical Tools



  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) preferred.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and digital marketing tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, manufacturing communications, content development, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, industrial, aerospace, or technical industry experience preferred.
