| Position Summary |
This position provides event management services primarily for the Georgia Economic Outlook Luncheon Series and the Terry College Graduate Convocation. As Event Manager, this position serves as the primary contact and requires exceptional coordination skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction. |

- High degree of autonomy in coordinating and delivering high-impact events
- Strong project management and organizational skills with proven proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple internal teams and effectively manage relationships with diverse audiences, including upper-level administration, faculty, students, alumni, state and community leaders, and corporate partners.
- Detail-oriented approach with direct experience in event planning or higher education administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SalesForce

Serves as the primary point person, fully responsible for the planning and execution of the statewide Georgia Economic Outlook Series, including required in-state travel from November through February:
- Arrange all event dates and secure appropriate venues and vendors across the state
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and work with the Terry Business Office and UGA Procurement for completion of contracts
- Cultivate and manage relationships with local Chambers of Commerce and other key community leaders
- Manage event invitations, email campaigns, and communication in collaboration with Terry Marketing and Communications on promotional materials (invitations, signage, programs)
- Manage the registration process and data management collaboration with the Terry Office of Information and Technology
- Oversee fiscal collections with Terry Office of Marketing and Communications and Terry Business Office
- Primary point person for national and local guest speakers. Ensure guest speakers are briefed on the schedule, specific sponsor introductions and technical requirements
- Develop and manage event budgets in collaboration with the Terry Business Office

Terry College Spring Graduate Convocation:
- Fully responsible for Convocation logistics including venue reservation, walk-throughs, and vendor contracting/management.
- Manage all Graduate communications including save-the-date notices and email campaigns in collaboration with the Dean's Office and Terry Office of Marketing and Communications department
- Draft and proofread convocation materials including programs and speeches in collaboration with the Terry Office of Marketing and Communications department
- Oversee keynote speaker arrangements including appointment, regalia, accommodations, and gifts in collaboration with Terry Development and Alumni Relations
- Maintain and update student registration systems and convocation-related webpages.
- Compile and verify graduating student data, including dissertation details for Ph.D. candidates.
- Organize event staffing, stage seating, signage, and ensure seamless day-of-event execution.
- Ensure timely communication and confirmation with all stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and VIP guests
