Position Description

The Expeditor supports the Supply Chain teams by executing daily operational tasks that ensure material availability, inventory health, and service continuity. This role focuses on expediting, inventory risk mitigation, vendor coordination, and execution support to maintain service levels and optimize working capital.

Core Responsibilities as an Expeditor I:


Confirm all purchase orders for assigned regions

  • Verify that vendor has confirmed the correct purchase order number, bill to and ship to data and all line items and costs are confirmed correctly. Work with ERP team to update system data as needed.


Update purchase order data in ERP system

  • Review open purchase orders, verify current estimated ship date and update ERP system
  • Communicate changes in estimated ship dates that impact Customer orders directly to Customer Care teammate.


Review Purchase Orders Due in 3-Days report

  • Confirm purchase orders with a due date in three days are in transit and scheduled to arrive on time.
  • Communicate with vendors on any delays and update ERP
  • Communicate any changes in estimated delivery to Customer Care teammate, when appropriate.


Manage expedite requests from Customer Care, Sales and Sales Support

  • Coordinate with vendors to expedite material upon request, copying requesting party on all communication


Daily ICEAN audit



  • The ICEAN report identifies exceptions that occur in the ERP system that are related to inventory transactions. This will be a daily audit to clear these exceptions so that inventory can properly flow internally and customers receive their material and invoices in a timely manner.


Education/Certification/Licenses



  • College degree in business or related fields, and 1 to 3 years of experience in Operations, Sales Operations and/or Customer Service within the R.S. Hughes Company, Inc., or similar experience. The ideal team member will understand all aspects of the R.S. Hughes Company, Inc. This includes, but is not limited to, Customer Care, Warehouse, Logistics, Operations, Credit & Collect & Finance. (Required)

Target Base Compensation range for this exempt role is up to $60,000.00 annually DOE.

This is a Full-Time position, eligible to participate in the Company's benefit plans including: Paid Time off; major medical, dental, vision; Company paid short-term and long-term disability; paid parental leave; various supplemental benefit plans; and 12% of Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).

Associates of Business Administration (required)
Experience
3 years: Experience in Operations, Sales Operations and/or Customer Service or similar experience (required)
