SENIOR STRATEGIC PLANNER - (REMOTE FIRST OPPORTUNITY)

This person will have the opportunity to work with pharmaceutical brands to tell their story to the audiences that matter most. This role is responsible for providing exceptional client service while offering critical in-market knowledge and support to strategy and research projects and ensuring exceptional deliverables for our clients.


This is a dynamic role that may take on many different forms dependent on the client needs throughout the year. The Strategic Planner will have the opportunity to work on market research and analysis, brand positioning and messaging, competitive landscape analysis, research methods, content.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serve as a primary strategic point of contact for PNAV clients, providing guidance and client support on an ongoing basis
  • Support PNAV projects by developing and seeing through strategic solutions to business challenges faced by clients
  • Creatively embeds the client voice in developing thoughtful, persuasive and high-quality deliverables
  • Possess strong, untemplated problem-solving skills as well as a strong ability partnering with analytics colleagues on market research, analytics, and synthesis
  • Search out innovative ideas to meet client brand objectives
  • Identify and anticipate potential hurdles for client brands and prepare strategic solutions that account for them
  • Collaborate with the broader strategy team on the development of reports and presentations that clearly, concisely, and compellingly communicate marketing implications and recommendations to client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Content Strategy and Creative teams to inform brand and creative strategy/brief development
  • Support the design and facilitation of client workshops, strategy sessions and ad boards
  • Support the annual client brand planning process
  • Adhere to project responsibilities and timelines
  • Communicate issues or concerns to the appropriate team members in a timely and effective manner
  • Identify and recommend process and procedure improvements that may lead to revenue and profit enhancement
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the development of profitable budget estimates and proposals
  • Engage in consultative sales and solution business development activities and new business pitches
  • Adhere to project responsibilities and timelines
  • Communicate issues or concerns to the appropriate team members in a timely and effective manner
  • Identify and recommend process and procedure improvements that may lead to revenue and profit enhancement
  • Keep supervisor informed of all important business-related matters
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position is performed in a remote-first and office environment.
  • Required to work overtime and weekends as necessary to meet responsibilities.
  • Travel to client and conference sites in performance of duties is also required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, and EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, science, business or communications-related field or equivalent experience
  • Successful track record with 5-8 years' experience in commercial planning, strategic planning, consulting, or marketing analytics
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical/healthcare brand marketing and promotional strategy
  • Strong PowerPoint skills/proficiency is essential
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in sales analytics and/or financial modeling a plus
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
  • Advanced degree in marketing, market research, finance, science or related discipline
