Description Provides general, medical and legal advocacy to victims of sexual assault and physical abuse. Primary responsibilities include providing support, crisis intervention, and information and referrals to individuals of all ages who have experienced assault/abuse and to friends and family members of the survivor. Advocacy is provided at emergency departments throughout Snohomish County, as well as over the phone through the 24/7 advocate support line. This position will involve working collaboratively with medical staff, typically in conjunction with a Forensic Nurse Examiner, to ensure client needs are met. Advocates will need to provide services appropriate to clients in various age groups with varying cultural backgrounds and abilities. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
