Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Trial Contract Analyst I supports the negotiation and execution of clinical trial agreements under close guidance from senior team members. This role focuses on reviewing standard terms, ensuring alignment with institutional policies, and facilitating timely contract routing and tracking. Analysts at this level develop foundational knowledge in clinical research compliance, sponsor relations, and institutional processes. The position emphasizes accuracy, responsiveness, and learning institutional best practices to support efficient study activation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Contract Review & Processing:
    Reviews, routes, and tracks standard and low-complexity clinical trial agreements.
    Ensures timely processing in alignment with institutional policies.
  • Contract Term Assessments:
    Reviews basic terms such as confidentiality and payment schedules.
    Escalates unusual or non-standard clauses to senior analysts or legal counsel
  • Documentation & Tracking:
    Maintains accurate records of contract status, timelines, and correspondence.
    Updates institutional systems to reflect current progress.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Coordinates with study teams, sponsors, and business operations on basic contract-related questions
    Supports resolution of routine issues to facilitate start-up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelors in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or related field
    Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
    Required
  • Masters in business, Healthcare, or related discipline. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Relevant professional experience in contract administration or related field Required
  • Academic medical centers, healthcare, or clinical research operations Preferred
