The University of Arizona's Department of Philosophy invites you to apply for the role of Student Services Program Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for curriculum and enrollment for the undergraduate academic programs while providing administrative support for the Departments of Philosophy, Political Economy, and Moral Sciences. You will collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure all programs run smoothly and effectively. Hybrid work arrangements may be available based on department needs. | Duties & Responsibilities |
Student Services and Enrollment/Curriculum Coordination
- Advise undergraduate and graduate students on registration, ensuring all students are registered for independent studies, internships, theses, research, dissertation units, preceptorships and directed research.
- Responsible for submitting new courses, modifications, and course deletions for undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Maintain and update the schedule of classes.
- Monitor class enrollments, student credit hours (SCH), and majors, and support the administrative and business staff with the temporary teaching budget, teaching assignments, and reporting.
- Assist with the submission of department proposals for new majors, minors, and certificates.
- Support curriculum committees and Directors of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies
- Maintaining departmental student files, course syllabi, teacher course evaluations, change-of-grade forms, etc.
Administrative Support
- Attend relevant department meetings and provide support, including maintaining meeting notes and agendas.
- Coordinate and assist department personnel with logistics for travel, recruitment, orientation and graduation events, committee meetings, speaker visits, retreats, and outreach activities.
- Assist staff with additional projects as needed.
- Maintain and update department websites, social media, video displays, and promotional materials.
- Assist with social media tasks, including promotion and content creation.
- Coordinate department purchases, communications, and designated campus colleague setup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Knowledge of higher education academic structures, including undergraduate and graduate curriculum processes, course scheduling, and enrollment management.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, meeting agendas, and correspondence.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Ability to support multiple committees and
leadership roles with professionalism and responsiveness.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
