Location: In office, Staunton, VA.

What you will do:

• Confer with management to review andestablishproduction standards, developbudgetand cost controls, and to obtain dataregardingtypes, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
• Plan andmonitorproduction activities andestablishproduction priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors
• Coordinate production activities with Production Control,Purchasing, Manufacturing Services, Maintenance, and subordinate supervisors to obtainoptimumproduction andutilizationof human resources, machines, and equipment
• Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports todeterminecauses of nonconformity with product specifications, andoperatingor production problems, and recommend process changes
• Assistwith developing and implementing new standard operational and work practices and procedures designed toeliminateoperating problems, enhanceefficiencyand lean practices, improve product quality, and improveworkplacesafety
• Observe workers to ensure compliance with standards
• Create a continuous improvement cultureutilizingLean Manufacturing, 5S principles, Kaizen activity, and employee participation
• Provide suggestions to management for revising production schedules and prioritiesas a result ofequipment failure or operating problems
• Consult with engineering relative to modification of machines and equipmentin order toimprove production and quality of products
• Coordinate with the Environmental Health and Safety Managerregardingtraining forworkers on issues related to health and safety, mayfacilitatetraining either personally or through subordinate supervisors
• Coordinate with the Human Resources team on issues related to recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and development, compensation, conflict resolution, motivation, corrective action, policy, contract and employment law interpretation and all employee related strategic decisions
• Participate in grievance meetings and labor management group meetings toassistwith resolving or effecting settlement of grievances
• Mayparticipatein Union contract negotiations

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience inmanufacturing
• Bachelor's Degree in related field(preferred)
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred)

The typical salary for this position ranges from $80,400-$136,800 + bonus eligibility in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
