VNE, LLC is looking for an Engineering Technician I on Holloman AFB

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: (Need at least one of the following)

• Associate's degree in engineering technology
• Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications
• Four-year electronics apprentice program
• High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

• No experience with degree/formal training or three (3) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include Electronics Repair, Maintenance and Check out.
• Prior Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting C4ISR systems integrated into military vehicles and specifically the MRAP variants (Preferred)
• Formal Electronics training, to include equipment installation and removal tasks
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to travel at least twice a year to 3 designated out of State locations to perform work tasks.
• All additional assigned tasks.
• Must be able to obtain Secret level clearance, US Citizenship required.

Job Description:

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN I This technician performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion. This person performs one or a combination of such typical duties as: a. Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting. b. Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operating and adjusting simple test equipment; records test data. c. Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs.

Essential Duties of the Job:

• Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
• Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
• Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
• Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
• Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
