A day at MKS : We are seeking an exceptional Director, Strategic Accounts who will own the strategy, planning, and execution of direct sales, support team, and service support for a portfolio of high-value, strategically for a key Semiconductor OEM. You will make an impact by: Strategic Ownership & Growth Leadership
- Develop and execute the comprehensive Strategic Account strategy that delivers profitable growth and builds a long-term partnership.
- Partner with Product Line Managers across the multiple MKS divisions to promote our portfolio to align go-to-market strategies, execute design wins, and ensure revenue/margin targets are achieved.
- Build and deploy annual and multi-year tactical account plans; establish clear year-over-year growth targets tied to the Plan of Record (PoR).
- Report monthly and quarterly on performance by Strategic Account-including bookings, design wins, opportunity funnel, and forecast accuracy.
Team Leadership & Sales Excellence
- Coach, mentor, and elevate the Strategic Account team members to strengthen hunting mentality, account penetration, and pipeline in other geographical account locations
- Champion a high-performance, customer-first culture within the commercial organization.
- Develop customer intimacy by coordinating monthly management review meetings (MRM), quarterly business reviews (QBR), executive review meetings (ERM), and technical roadmap meetings (TRM).
Customer Engagement & Executive Relationship Building
- Maintain and expand senior-level relationships with influential stakeholders at assigned Strategic Accounts.
- Act as the customer advocate internally while ensuring alignment between customer needs and business objectives.
Operational Accountability
- Partner closely with Customer Service, Operations, and Logistics to ensure flawless execution of deliveries and exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with General Managers to provide strategic pricing recommendations that optimize profitability and share position.
- Maintain and develop CRM accuracy for forecasting and planning.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required or equivalent technical work experience; Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of related experience required
- A proven track record of driving profitable top-line growth across market cycles, with success operating within a complex matrix organization.
- Significant Industry experience in Laser & Photonics, Micro Processing, and/or Semiconductor markets.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to diagnose issues, synthesize data, and recommend decisive actions.
- Extensive experience leading technical sales and service teams at a senior level, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Ability to frequently meet in-person with customers and internal MKS stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Total Compensation: Salary Range: ($200,000 - 275,000) & Incentive Payment: ($40,000 - 100,000). This range is a good faith estimate of the expected total compensation for this position (base salary plus variable sales compensation), based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
- Incentive Payment: A percentage of your total compensation is tied to participation in a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and is earned by your achievement of pre-established targets, pursuant to the terms of the SIP.
