Our innovative approach combines advanced technology with comprehensive data analysis to help drive informed decision-making of our clients. We are seeking a dynamic project management professional with experience in any of these areas of focus: Underwater acoustics, Environmental acoustics, Renewable energy acoustics, Electric generation and distribution acoustics, Transportation acoustics and Vibration. You will collaboratively contribute to the development of innovative acoustics and noise control solutions. Currently most of our work is noise assessments for power distribution and generation, research, and environmental, and community noise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery




  • Manages small to intermediate-sized projects or multiple parts of larger more complex projects with an increasing amount of responsibility.





  • Participates in a variety of data collection activities, e.g. note taking, transcribing, field-based observation and interviews.





  • Organizes data using appropriate tools, e.g., Excel, R, Python, SPSS.





  • Performs a wide range of analytical tasks, data handling and analyses.





  • Provides oversight and guidance to junior staff on expected data handling and analysis methods.





  • Beginning to represent the firm by participating in public hearings, presentations and meetings with clients and partners.





  • Acts as a mentor to junior staff, doing just-in-time coaching on various skills needed to advance.




KEY INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Analysts and Consultants: Builds relationships with junior staff across the firm, identifying skills and abilities needed to support projects. Will serve as a mentor and trainer to junior staff, identifying projects to build skill sets and careers.

Project Team Members and Leaders: Serves as the project leader and continuously communicates and sets expectations with team members. Addresses roadblocks or issues necessary to meet project deliverables. Reports project progress and escalates issues as needed.

Clients/Customers: Works closely to fully understand needs and ensure superior services are delivered. Through excellent work, build and maintain close relationships for ongoing or future business engagements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience




  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant acoustical field of study.





  • 4 to 6 years of professional acoustical experience, prior experience with research methods.




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities




  • Strong analytic, quantitative and problem-solving skills.





  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and flexible.





  • Demonstrated ability to deliver work on a timeline.





  • Outstanding writing, communication, and teaming skills with colleagues and clients.





  • Proficiency in or strong aptitude for working with data and conducting analyses using statistical packages, databases and spreadsheets, e.g. SPSS, Python, SQL, R, and/or Excel.





  • Familiarity with applicable national and international monitoring and calculating acoustics standards.





  • Experience conducting interior and exterior sound level measurements.





  • Software tools (such as CadnaA, SoundPlan, and ArcGIS).





  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and on a team.





  • Demonstrated abilities with a broad range of analytic techniques.





  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.





  • Effective interpersonal skills.




PHYSICAL DEMANDS




  • Requires periodic travel.



  • Ability to hike to remote locations carrying equipment up to 50lbs.





  • Frequently involves standing or sitting for prolonged periods.





  • Operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine or computer printer.





  • Frequently communicates with colleagues and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
