These roles are responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day functions that support the university's physical and logistical needs. Staff in these positions work to ensure that facilities are well-maintained, operational processes are efficient, and UVA environments are welcoming and functional.
These roles are responsible for managing the university's supplies and materials, including ordering, storing, and distributing items across departments. They monitor stock levels, track assets, and ensure that essential materials are available when needed. Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports. Supervises support level employees. Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area. Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher-level managers. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports. MINIMUM RQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Three years of experience, with one year as a custodial team leader. Licensure: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position is primarily an office position where she will go periodically to buildings to inspect the work being performed.
