About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Photography Post Grad Intern. This position is a temporary, full-time, benefit-eligible position for up to 24 months.

This position will assist in the execution of all photographic needs for K-State Athletics and the management of its student internship program.

This includes but is not limited to: Provide photo coverage for athletic competitions, practices, workouts, press conferences, travel, special events, recruiting and other team activities;Manage a comprehensive Photoshelter library; effectively labeling and archiving all images;Maintain knowledge of current and future national trends to ensure the K-State Athletics digital media division is operation at a high level; proactively identifying areas for improvement;Oversee K-State Athletics photography student internship program; manage day-to-day schedule and assignments; ensure quality control and timely completion of tasks; Other duties as assigned.


Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Working knowledge of basic studio and on-location lighting techniques; principles and equipment
  • Extensive experience using Photo Shelter, Photo Mechanic, and Influencer
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Understanding of sporting landscape, industry standards and current trends
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference recruiting rules and regulations


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills, including both verbal and written
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail; must be organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple
    people, projects or tasks simultaneously within tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required; may require occasional travel
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external staN and management
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative; possess a high-level of creativity to tell stories through
    imagery

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
