Responsible for oversight of maintaining an inventory of cardiac ultrasound supplies, leading echocardiography technologists and maintaining cardiac ultrasound equipment.
Performs high-quality echocardiographic examinations according to the ARIC study protocol in a timely manner. Ensures that images and records are properly completed with participant identification data and appropriate labeling. Discusses any relevant clinical findings with the center manager and/or supervising physician to ensure timely follow-up. Orient and train other echo technicians. Ensures proper participant preparation, verifies screening protocols, and answers questions. Performs quality control on assigned equipment and reports issues timely.
